How to Sign Up

  1. Click "Sign Up" in the right-hand corner
  2. Fill in your name and email
  3. Check your email for a four-digit confirmation number, and enter it in the designated registration field
  4. Answer our confidential registration questions
  5. Pick your project and engage!

How to "Follow" Projects

  1. Click on the project that interests you
  2. Click "Follow" in the top right-hand corner
  3. Enter your email
  4. Prepare for exciting updates!

How does this work?

This engagement platform is designed with you in mind! Our goal is to post projects relating to a variety of categories, and invite our neighbors to provide their feedback and opinions. Councillor Cheng is determined to co-create the future of Willowdale with the people that inhabit it. Simply follow the instructions to sign up, answer the confidential registration questions, and pick your project to participate. We will be regularly monitoring the platform for resident insights, and commit to reporting out what we hear, as well as tracking any implementation of feedback that we receive.

Why do I have to register?

The registration process is completely confidential. Your name and profile photo are public.

We require registration to ensure that bots, trolls, and non-residents are not able to enter the community. We also want to create a communal feel to the platform, and we feel that having residents' names and profile photos helps to do that. (note - profile photo is optional)

The registration questions we ask are only viewable to administrators, and are not public. The reason why we ask such detailed questions is to ensure that we are reaching all neighbors across varying categories. We want to be as inclusive and equitable in our engagement as possible, and that registration data helps us do that.

What happens to my feedback?

A team of dedicated staff are proactively monitoring your input. We track all insights gathered, analyze them for feasibility, and then apply them to the projects that we are working on. Depending on the type of project, your feedback may help inform agendas, shape policy, or improve project implementation. More details will be provided on a per-project basis.
