PB 2025/2026: Share Your Ideas, Avondale!

The Participatory Budgeting Idea Collection will take place through both in-person events and online submissions via our community engagement portal- Willowdaleactionhub.ca. To increase the likelihood of your project idea moving forward in the PB process, we encourage you to take ownership of your idea by becoming an in-person Project Champion. When submitting your idea online, please indicate your willingness to serve as a Project Champion in the comment section to ensure your idea has a better chance to be considered in the PB process.

Who is a PROJECT CHAMPION? A Project Champion is a participant who submits an idea through the Participatory Budgeting (PB) process and collaborates closely with Councillor Cheng's staff to turn their idea into reality from start to finish. One of the key responsibilities of a Project Champion is to mobilize their idea in the community to gather maximum support.

You will need to SIGN UP on www.willowdaleactionhub.ca to submit your IDEA in the 'Share Your Ideas Avondale' folder.

IMPORTANT: Please mention in the description of your IDEA- " I will be the Project Champion for this idea"

Marilyn 6 months ago Along with the many ideas proposed, a accompanying campaign to This is Your Park; Help Keep our Parks Clean by reinforcing the message that Residents have to dispose of their garbage and litter in the proper waste containers; that more information be presented to the residents about the fines to those who do not follow these rules and that these posters be displayed in more than one language so that everyone in the park(s) can read this. With the proposed additions of public use for sports community enjoyment and picnic tables and enjoyment thereof, this should be run alongside these improvements to promote self-awareness to those who use the park and responsibilities of Adults and Children.

Dmitry Pyryeskin7 months ago The intersection of Anndale and Yonge is always packed during the rush hours, leading to dangerous driving behaviour, using the wrong lanes to turn, and creating backups on nearby streets. What's making it even worse is that there are always illegally parked cars on the north side of Anndale Dr (because the condo does not have a proper drop-off driveway), right under the no-stopping signs.If the no-parking/no-stopping rule were strictly enforced at the intersection, it would make it safer for both drivers and pedestrians.
