Anndale Drive Street Parking Survey
There have been some recent changes with 'No Parking' signs along Anndale Drive, and you may be confused - understandably so.
Here is a bit of background on the changes:
In August of 2023, our office received a request to lift the parking restriction on Anndale East of Bales. We forwarded the request to Transportation Services for investigation.
Upon investigation, Transportation Services found that there was a discrepancy between posted signs on Anndale and the existing parking regulations by-lawed in Chapter 950, and notified us of the following:
Recommendations to bring Anndale Drive into compliance with the existing by-laws
- Remove the “No Parking, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday” signage on the north side of Anndale Drive between Tradewinds Avenue to a point opposite the easterly limit of No.81 Anndale Drive.
- Maintain the “No Parking, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday” signage on the north side of Anndale Dr between Bales Avenue and Tradewinds Avenue.
- All other signage in place and to remain as per Ch 950
The north side of Anndale Drive, from Bonnington Avenue to the easterly limit of the road will now be subject to the City-Wide 3 hour maximum parking as approved by previous Community Council decisions.

Parking Prohibition – Anndale Drive (toronto.ca)
Please note that a service request will be submitted to the Signs and Markings Unit for removal of signage noted above as to comply with Chapter 950 regulations.
July 2024: No Parking signs were removed along Anndale from Bonnington to Bales towards Yonge. Transportation Services confirmed that this was in error and signs were restored.
August 2024: No Parking signs were removed along Anndale from Tradewind Ave to Leon Dr., in order to comply with the bylaw and community council approval.
Current process:
If the affected residents wish to reinstate the "No Parking 8 AM to 6 PM, Mon-Fri" signage on the north side of Anndale Dr, east of Tradewind Ave, a new investigation by Transportation Services would be required. Additionally, resident support is needed for the Councillor to submit this request to North York Community Council (NYCC), and any changes would need to be approved at NYCC.
Councillor Cheng is collecting feedback from residents surrounding the proposed area through this survey, to better inform our decision to move forward with a report to North York Community Council.
