Speed Humps Connaught Ave

It has been more than two years since I met with Lily Cheng at my place of residence on Connaught Ave to discuss the excessive speed and asphalt replacement to a city path.

It’s extremely frustrating to reach out to the councillors office time and time again with no results!

The excessive speed on Connaught Ave. between Fargo Ave and Yonge St in both directions is absolutely atrocious! At times, the speed by some would render a stunt driving offence under the HTA. The speed limit on the street is 30kmh.

Unfortunately, our police force doesn’t have the resources, and or the manpower to enforce the speed limit in this school zone.

There are many children who travel down Connaught Ave from two different schools, one of which caters to children whom are mentally challenged. It’s only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed!

Id like to see two sets of speed humps installed in Connaught Ave between Fargo Ave and Lariviere Rd. once and for all, for the safety of our local residents and community as a whole.
