Shredding Trucks at Environment Day Events

I would suggest that mobile shredding trucks (with viewing panels) be provided on all Environment Day event locations in Willowdale for free use by residents to assist them in destruction of dated, important paper & digital records in a secure manner.

The most secure and efficient way would probably be shredding it yourself under your own supervision. Bringing your important papers and records to a public parking lot while putting it in a truck with viewing panels would probably result in some of this information getting incorrectly disposed.

My understanding is that the viewing panel would allow you to watch/supervise while your documents are shredded. The advantage with the commercial shredders are that they allow for a larger volume to be shredded than home shredders. I agree that assurances would be needed from the company providing the truck about the secure disposal in your presence.
