Right turn restriction from Steeles Ave to Conacher Dr during rush hour (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

I live in the area and turn right at Conacher to get home. I disagree with the proposed restricting access. It would only push traffic onto other sides streets as A Berend points out. John M makes a valid point that construction at Bayview and Steeles is most likely creating temporary added traffic until the construction is complete.

I turn at this corner because I live in this area. If you’re going to start issuing tickets, I certainly hope that you’re going to put big signage up. I don’t understand how this slows traffic, because then I would turn on Bayview, and then in on Risebrough. That is a real bottleneck so it would take me longer to get home and in fact create worse traffic. .

There are dozens (if not hundreds) of parents who (at least occasionally) drop off their kids at Brebeuf in the morning and then have to find their way south. The Brebeuf driveway connects with Steeles just west of Conacher. Many of these parents (myself included) prefer to turn right (east) on Steeles and take Bayview south (because the left turn on Steeles, especially during morning rush hour, is dangerous and often has poor visibility). However, since the ongoing construction at Bayview and Steeles renders the intersection virtually unusable during rush hours, many of these parents (myself included) are now taking Conacher south instead (despite the fact that Conacher is in such bad shape). Why not delay this discussion until the construction at Bayview and Steeles is done? By then, people living on Conacher will see a reduction in traffic on their street as people revert back to taking Bayview south (and saving their car's suspension).

Agree, there shouldn’t be this much traffic coming into the community zone. There are many small children living on Ruth Ave and it’s dangerous.

Many external people drive into the community and drive too fast, it should be restricted
