Current signal timings on Byng Avenue do not reflect actual traffic patterns.
While vehicle volume is low during early mornings and evenings, pedestrians face disproportionately long waits to cross East/West.
This delay encourages unsafe jaywalking; adjusting signal priority outside of rush hour is a necessary step to ensure pedestrian safety
