The proof: Transit agencies are already using AI software to monitor camera and sensor feeds from station areas to identify dangerous conditions, including crowd management, obstacle detection, and even firearm detection throughout train and bus networks. Ottawa’s transit system is actively piloting AI camera monitoring for crime and emergencies right now.
Is AI-assisted camera monitoring in place at Willowdale stations, and if not, why not?
